Dans les dernières années, les professionnels du domaine de la santé ont sonné l’alarme quant aux risques de la dépendance aux jeux vidéo, et ce, plus particulièrement chez les jeunes. Le besoin d’intervention se fait donc de plus en plus ressentir pour aider ces millions de joueurs à travers le monde vivant des problèmes physiques, psychologiques et même pour certains économiques. Cet essai a comme objectif d’entreprendre une analyse des mesures juridiques actuelles en matière de dépendance aux jeux vidéo chez les jeunes ainsi qu’un portrait des recommandations des experts. L’analyse a comme prisme la valeur de la responsabilité, c’est-à-dire l’identification des acteurs concernés et la dynamique d’intervention entre ces derniers, mais elle vise également l’observation de l’intégration des valeurs et des principes pondérant la santé publique. Cette recension normative pourrait d’ailleurs s’avérer inspirante pour le Québec ainsi le Canada dans le cadre d’une intervention en santé publique éventuelle.
