Essa pesquisa busca apontar as formas a partir das quais a visibilidade serve como instrumento de construção de territorialidades (HERSCHMANN, 2010) desvinculadas de sentidos colonizadores por meio dos recursos ofertados pelo campo da mídia. O objeto de análise é a Latino Resiste, gravadora digital criada por Alberto Caballero, cidadão colombiano radicado em Toronto que promove produções de gêneros latino-americanos através da firmação de parcerias com outros canais de distribuição de conteúdo musical. A investigação é centrada na visibilidade mediada (THOMPSON, 2007) por Alberto Caballero sobre o trabalho de artistas de circuitos culturais (HERSCHMANN, 2013) alternativos. Se desenrola no formato de um estudo de caso exploratório com entrevista semi-estruturada (OLIVEIRA, 2008). Conclui-se que o DJ executa ativamente a busca pela multiplicação de paisagens midiáticas (APPADURAI, 1996) que carreguem consigo novas formas pensar sobre o que é ser latino-americano, o que ocorre graças à consciência de sua performatividade (YÚDICE, 2001) no campo da mídia - ou, em outras palavras, seu potencial de agência mobilizadora a partir de visibilidades particulares promovidas na mídia.
