Abstract
Siendo El Puerto de Santa María una \nvilla de señorío, la potestad para dictar las Ordenanzas municipales correspondía al señor de \nla villa. Pese a ello, se ve claramente la iniciativa \ndel Cabildo Municipal para la elaboración de \nunas nuevas ordenanzas, aunque sometidas a la \naprobación definitiva del señor. \nDe temática variada, prescinde claramente tratar \nsobre la organización y funcionamiento del concejo, tema importante en la mayoría de las Ordenanzas de esta época. Por el contrario, hacen hincapié en temas tales como la actividad agraria y \nganadera, pero sobre todo la protección y cuidado delrio Guadalete alserfuente de riqueza tanto para la localidad como para la hacienda ducal. \nAparecen varios capítulos relacionados con los \nmolinos de aceite, las tahonas, la pesca, y de manera indirecta con aquellas rentas percibidas \npor el conde, tales como pilotaje, anclaje y pasaje del barco. \nEl derecho de vecindad es otro tema tratado en \nestas Ordenanzas con objeto de favorecer al vecino de la villa frente al foráneo
