Abstract
En 1924 paraît à Montréal, chez Garand, le premier recueil pastichiel du Canada français. Il s'agit de Littératures... À la manière de... [nos auteurs canadiens], le fait conjoint de Francoeur et Panneton (le futur Ringuet). Or malgré le succès qu'elle remporte à son époque (réédition instantanée, prix David, et caetera), la plaquette tombe rapidement dans l'oubli. Le présent mémoire se veut un pas vers sa réhabilitation, puisqu'il s'intéresse à sa caractérisation. À un moment où la critique littéraire canadienne-française prend forme, quelle version en proposent les pastiches en cause? Pour le savoir, il a fallu une recherche en trois temps: établissement du contexte, étude des textes, puis remise de ceux-ci dans celui-là. En définitive, aucun doute ne subsiste sur leur caractère à la fois représentatif et original par rapport aux écrits contemporains: oeuvre-miroir, d'une part, révélatrice de tous les états du littéraire dans le Québec du premier quart du XXe siècle; oeuvre-phare, d'autre part, renouvelant les usages critiques en vigueur jusque-là. Bref, voici venu le temps de réintégrer à l'histoire littéraire l'un de ces ouvrages trop longtemps comptés pour rien.
