Abstract
Luxuria. La vida nocturna de Buenos Aires (1936) de Otto Miguel Cione es una antropología novelada de la antigua noche porteña. Allí cobran vida las diversas poblaciones eróticas de la década de 1920, a quienes se señaló como “infractoras” de la moral nacional. Esta primera reedición de Luxuria, con un estudio preliminar de Carlos G. Halaburda (University of Toronto) y Daniel Balderston (University of Pittsburgh), rescata un texto que se propuso registrar las “farándulas lujuriosas” de la ciudad porteña. Cada capítulo explora aquellas conductas que resistieron un estricto ecosistema sexual de valores heteronormados. La novela dio visibilidad a una contracultura sexo-genérica perseguida que quedó inscrita en esta olvidada ficción que se recupera para les lectores del siglo XXI.
