Abstract
Thời gian qua, tình hình tranh chấp ngày càng gia tăng và diễn biến ngày càng phức tạp về chủ quyền của một số nước trên biển Đông, trong đó có Việt Nam. Vấn đề về chủ quyền biển đảo của Việt Nam đối với hai quần đảo Hoàng Sa và Trường Sa và vận mệnh của đất nước đều nhận được sự quan tâm của mọi người, trong đó có học sinh (HS). Trong bài viết này, tác giả xin được đóng góp một số ý kiến về vai trò của môn Lịch sử ở trường phổ thông (PT) đối với việc giáo dục ý thức bảo vệ chủ quyền biển đảo, đặc biệt đối với hai quần đảo Trường Sa, Hoàng Sa trong bối cảnh quốc tế hiện nay. Nhằm góp phần giáo dục truyền thống yêu nước, tinh thần dân tộc và khơi dậy trong các em ý thức đóng góp sức mình vào nhiệm vụ bảo vệ chủ quyền dân tộc, trong đó có chủ quyền biển đảo của Việt Nam.
