Abstract
El presente trabajo examina la relación entre Neoliberalismo y Educación, centrándose en un conjunto de recomendaciones promovidas y diseñadas por el Banco Mundial para el campo educativo en la Argentina entre 1983 y 1989. Este es un periodo particularmente interesante, ya que constituye la reconfiguración democrática del Estado argentino durante el gobierno de Alfonsín, una reconfiguración que supuso continuidades con el proyecto de acumulación neoliberal impuesto con mayor fuerza durante la última dictadura militar. Se aspira buscar demostrar que, en este período, las políticas educativas auspiciadas por el Banco Mundial se logran materializar, tanto en el plano discursivo del gobierno como en políticas públicas específicas, gracias a los complejos vínculos establecidos entre los poderes transnacionales y algunos intereses locales. Estas relaciones complejas cobran especial visibilidad durante el Congreso Pedagógico Nacional impulsado por el alfonsinismo con el objetivo de “transformar la Educación”.
