Abstract
Artikel ini memerihalkan tentang peribahasa Melayu yang mengandungi unsur motivasi kepada masyarakat. Pelbagai peribahasa dibincangkan dari sudut penggunaan / pemilihan unsur dalam membina peribahasa yang sekali gus memperlihatkan kebijaksanaan orang Melayu pada waktu dahulu. Peribahasa menjadi rujukan penting dalam masyarakat Melayu untuk mengetahui selok belok pemikiran orang Melayu dan perkaitan dengan budaya hidup mereka masa kini.
