Abstract
La comedia "La gran Torre del Orbe", de Pedro Rosete Niño, fue escrita antes del invierno de 1634, año del que tenemos constancia de su primera puesta en escena. Además de proponer un texto crítico, esta edición ofrece un acercamiento a los rasgos principales de la comedia y establece sus principales conexiones con su hipotexto, el texto caballeresco "Amadís de Grecia", de Feliciano de Silva. Así, los personajes, la gran torre o el amor de Amadís por Niquea de este "Amadís" se dramatizan en "La gran Torre del Orbe" junto a pasajes nacidos de la inventiva del autor, algunos de ellos de sabor gongorino, y mediante espectaculares efectos escenográficos
