Abstract
L’article presenta el nou encaix de la figura de Ramon Llull en l’univers cívic i religiós de la modernitat. El lul·lisme ha tingut un impacte evident en la societat mallorquina des del segle xiv, en paral·lel al coneixement i els debats universitaris i polítics que generà en el passat. Llull era el beat per excel·lència i el pare de la pàtria i així ha continuat sent durant la contemporaneïtat. Ens centram bàsicament en dos grans capítols: el primer en el qual es presenten els canvis i les adaptacions de Llull durant el segle xix, i el segon capítol destinat al doble vessant —religiós i cívic— de la figura de Llull en el marc de la commemoració del vi centenari de la seva mort, promogut per la Diòcesi de Mallorca, amb les iniciatives del bisbe Pere Joan Campins, i per l’Ajuntament de Palma, amb la creació de l’Institut d’Estudis Superiors per a la Dona.Paraules clau: religió, catolicisme, feminisme, lul·lisme, modernitat, educació,Mallorca.
