Abstract
"El presente artículo trata sobre cómo la integración de las personas y de los grupos sociales ala sociedad, especialmente de poblaciones vulnerables, ha sido siempre objeto central delservicio social en Quebec. Desde mediados de los años setenta, la inserción, junto a sumisión de adaptación y control social, ha captado mucho más la atención del trabajo socialluego de importantes cambios sociales (Goyette, 2004). Así, poblaciones que noacostumbraban a recurrir a programas de servicio social ni al Estado, mujeres y personas engeneral, pero sobre todo los jóvenes- van desde entonces a ocupar el centro de interés delservicio social y de las políticas públicas. Frente a esto, el servicio social llevará su preocupaciónal tema de la inserción de la juventud, en la medida en que el aumento de figuras de exclusiónrefuerza la necesidad de favorecer los valores de solidaridad, justicia social, respeto y autonomía,bandera de esta disciplina tanto en su ética como en su práctica."
