Abstract
Ce mémoire propose une analyse des structures interrogatives totales dans un corpus de 20 bandes dessinées québécoises, publiées entre 1978 et 2023. Cette analyse, qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de la sociolinguistique variationniste, étudie donc la langue telle que représentée dans la littérature québécoise. Elle étudie les quatre variantes interrogatives en usage au Québec : l’inversion du pronom, la périphrase est-ce que, la variante Sujet-Verbe(-Objet) et la particule -tu. Le mémoire analyse ces interrogatives par le biais de facteurs linguistiques (la polarité, la personne grammaticale, le temps de verbe, etc.) et extralinguistiques (l’année de publication, les maisons d’édition et les caractéristiques sociales des bédéistes). Après avoir consulté quelques bédéistes dont les œuvres sont à l’étude, la recherche approfondit différents facteurs inhérents à l’étude des structures interrogatives dans un médium en pleine croissance.
