Abstract
The meeting was convened for the purpose of giving consideration to the draft articles of an Agreement to establish a Regional Centre for Services in Surveying and Mapping, under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and other matters related to the establishment of such a Centre. The meeting was attended by representatives of the following member Governments: Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Somalia, Swaziland, Tanzania and Uganda- A representative of the United Kingdom, an associate member State was present. The meeting was also attended by observers for the following Governments: Canada, Finland, Netherlands and Switzerland and a representative of the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa.
