Abstract
Opinnäytteessä ei ole varsinaista toimeksiantajaa. Ajatus opinnäytetyöntekemiseen lähti siitä, että toisella meistä on yritystoimintaa Suomen ja Yhdysvaltojen välillä, johon kuuluu rojaltituloja. \n \n \nOpinnäytetyön tavoitteena on helpottaa rojaltitulo verotusprosessia Suomen ja Yhdysvaltojen välillä. Tutkimusmenetelmänä käytettiin kvantitatiivista tutkimusta, koska opinnäytetyössä hyödynnetään olemassa olevaa tietoa. \n \n \nOpinnäytetyön tietoperustan lähtökohtana on oma kokemus rojaltien verokäytännöistä Suomen ja Yhdysvaltojen välillä. Aineistoina on käytetty Suomen verohallinnon ohjeita, Yhdysvaltojen IRS:n antamista ohjeita, sekä muita Internet -ja kirjalähteitä. \n \n \nOpinnäytetyön päätulos on ollut laatia käyttäjäystävälliset ohjeet rojaltitulojen verotuksesta henkilöasiakkaalle. Tavoitteeseen on päästy hyvin, koska yhteneväiset ja selkeät ohjeet on laadittu sekä tietoa on koottu kaksinkertaisen verotuksen välttäminen Suomen ja Yhdysvaltojen välillä. \n \n \nOpinnäytetyön jatkotoimenpiteitä olisi mahdollista toteuttaa muista tulonlähteistä kuin rojaltituloista ja Suomen kansainvälistä verotusta voi tarkastella myös muiden maiden kuin Yhdysvaltojen kanssa. Kehitysehdotuksena on, että tieto rojaltitulojen kansainvälisestä verotuksesta olisi helposti saatavilla, koska olemassa oleva tieto aiheesta löytyy useimmista eri lähteistä ja yhtenäiset suomenkieliset ohjeet ovat työläästi saatavilla.
