Toimenpiteitä ammattikorkeakouluille kohti hiilineutraaliutta ja kestävyyttä

Abstract
Suomen kaikki ammattikorkeakoulut ovat sitoutuneet edistämään kestävää kehitystä ja vastuullisuutta ja saavuttamaan hiilineutraaliuden 2030 mennessä. Ammattikorkeakouluilla onkin oma tärkeä roolinsa osaamisen kehittäjänä, kun yhteiskunta ja työ- ja elinkeinoelämä siirtyvät kohti kestävämpää toimintaa. Opiskelijoiden tietoihin ja taitoihin vaikutetaan parhaiten sisällyttämällä kestä¬vää kehitystä luontevaksi osaksi oppimista. Asenteisiin vaikuttaa merkittävästi se, miten ammattikorkeakoulut ja niiden henkilöstöt toimivat. Tämä julkaisu tarjoaa ratkaisuja ammattikorkeakoulujen oman hiilineutraaliuden eteenpäin viemiseen, painottuen erityisesti organisaation kiertotaloutta ja vähähiilisyyttä edistäviin ratkaisuihin. Sosiaalinen ja kulttuurinen kestävyys on jätetty vähem¬mälle huomiolle. Jokaiseen aihepiiriin (kestävän kehityksen työn organisointi ja seuranta, liikkuminen, tilat, energian käyttö, vedenkulutus, jätteet ja kierrätys, ruokapalvelut ja hankinnat) kuvataan hiilineutraaliutta edistäviä tavoitteita, toimenpiteitä ja niiden seurantaan soveltuvia mittareita. Julkaisu on toteutettu Kiertotalousosaamista ammattikorkeakouluihin -hankkeessa, joka toteutettiin vuosina 2018–20. Hankkeen rahoittivat Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö ja osallis¬tuneet ammattikorkeakoulut. Hankkeen koordinoi Lapin ammattikorkeakoulu.
