Abstract
Olen asunut ja työskennellyt useissa monikielisissä yhteisöissä mm. Johannesburgissa, opiskellut suomen kieltä sekä germaanista filologiaa ja opettanut suomea toisena ja vieraana kielenä vuodesta 1998 sekä Suomessa että Saksassa, missä olen toiminut Münchenin Ludwig-Maximilians-yliopiston suomen kielen lehtorina. Tällä hetkellä työskentelen Turun yliopiston Suomen kieli ja kulttuuri (ulkomaalaisille) -ohjelmassa ja teen väitöskirjatutkimusta Suomessa ja Saksassa asuvista kolmikielisistä perheistä, joissa puhutaan perheen yhtenä kielenä suomea.
