Tieliikenteen tavarankuljetusten liikenneturvallisuus

Abstract
Opinnäytetyön johtavana ajatuksena on ollut tieliikenteen tavarankuljetusten liikenneturvallisuuteen syventyminen. Työssä tarkastellaan liikenneturvallisuutta ammattimaisen tavarankuljetuksen näkökulmasta. Tavoitteena on ollut tuottaa lisää tietoa päätöksenteon tueksi Suomen Kuljetus- ja Logistiikka SKAL ry:n tarpeisiin. \n \nOpinnäytetyön teon aikana on vahvistunut ajatus, että liikenneturvallisuus on monisäkeinen kokonaisuus, johon vaikuttavat useat eri seikat, kuljettajan työnopastuksesta tiestön kunnossapitoon. Liikenneturvallisuustason kohentamiseen ei riitä vain yhden yksittäisen asian parantaminen, sillä liikenneturvallisuus on monen asian summa. Esimerkiksi liikenneympäristön turvallisuutta voidaan parantaa esimerkiksi tievalaistuksen rakentamisella tai parantamisella, ja kuljetusyritykset voivat parantaa turvallisuutta valitsemalla työtehtävään oikeanlaisen ajoneuvon. \n \nTyön tekeminen käynnistyi tiedonhaulla ja lähtöaineiston keräämisellä. Materiaalin keräämisen ja työn tekemisen haasteena oli työn rajaaminen koskemaan vain tieliikenteen ammattimaista tavarankuljetusta. \n \nOpinnäytetyön tilaajana on ollut Suomen Kuljetus- ja Logistiikka SKAL ry:n kotimaan edunvalvontajohtaja Ari Herrala. Ohjaajana Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulun lehtori Sonja Heikkinen.
