Abstract
Humoriste et conteur « aux racines africaines et au feuillage québécois », Boucar Diouf est l’une des personnalités publiques les plus appréciées des Québécois. Cet élan d’affection est d’autant plus candide qu’il apparaît sincèrement réciproque. Nul ne saurait ignorer que monsieur Diouf possède une solide formation scientifique tant ses propos sont parsemés de réflexions inspirées de la biologie animale et végétale. Titulaire d’un doctorat en océanographie obtenu en 1998, Boucar Diouf fut autrefois enseignant au département de biologie à l’Université du Québec à Rimouski. Il mène aujourd’hui une carrière multidisciplinaire bien remplie comme artiste de la scène, animateur de radio et de télévision, chroniqueur dans les médias et auteur. Je me suis entretenu avec Boucar Diouf à l’occasion de la parution, le 15 septembre dernier, de Ce que la vie doit à la mort, son douzième livre.
