Abstract
Стаття присвячена історіографії української діаспори в Канаді і спрямована на систематизацію знань, прирощених науковцями самої діаспори, а також вітчизняними, західними та російськими дослідниками. Уточнене саме поняття діаспори як інституалізованої етнонаціональної спільноти. Обґрунтовується висновок про фундаментальну розробку історії української діаспори в Канаді в часових межах, що обіймають1890-і – початок 2000-х років. Цілісна картина української діаспори включає політико-правовий, інституційний, соціально-економічний, культурний та конфесійний аспекти. Комплексний аналіз історіографії дозволяє стверджувати, що загалом успішне збереження діаспорянами в Канаді своєї національної ідентичності ускладнюється наростанням глобалізаційних процесів. Серед перспективних напрямів студіювання проблеми регіональна специфіка діаспори, повсякденне життя українців Канади, трансформація їх ментальності, біографістика.
