Abstract
Bireylerin mesleki hayatı, onları sadece ekonomik değil aynı zamanda sosyal olarak da yaşamının tümünü etkilemektedir. Bireyin mutluluğunun iki temel taşı, aile ve meslek/iştir. Ülkemizde meslek seçimi ergenlik döneminin başlangıcı ile gidilen lise ve türüne göre genelde şekillenmektedir. Her okul türü ve dallara göre öğrencilerin seçmiş olduğu meslek tipi hemen hemen belli olabilmektedir. Yapılan birçok araştırmada bu farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. İmam Hatip Liseleri her geçen gün artan öğrenci ile önemli bir lise öğretim kurumudur. Bu okulda okuyan öğrencilerin mesleki seçimleri ile ilgili araştırma yapılarak onların neye göre ne tip meslek seçtikleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada toplam 204 son sınıf İmam Hatip öğrencisine anket uygulanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasından sonra istatistiki analiz yapılmıştır. Burada genel olarak son sınıf öğrencilerinin istedikleri meslekler, bu mesleklerin genel özellikleri ve öğrencilerin hangi özelliklere göre meslek seçimi yaptıkları araştırılmıştır. Araştırmaya göre; İmam Hatip lisesi son sınıf öğrencilerinden erkeler kızlara göre daha fazla açık alanda çalışmak istediklerini, erkek öğrencilerin kız öğrencilere göre daha fazla bağımsız çalışacağı meslekleri tercih ettikleri, öğrencilerin %70,6 sının üniformalı bir işte çalışmak istemediği, sosyal bilimler ve eğitim bilimleri alanlarda mesleklerinin olmasını istedikleri bulunmuştur.
