Abstract
Un colloque international sur la question des relations Chine-Occident est organisé par les professeurs Frédéric Laugrand et Shenwen Li, respectivement des départements dâanthropologie et dâhistoire. Les conférenciers aborderont lâunivers du chamanisme, lieu de jonction entre la Chine et le monde autochtone. Ils traiteront aussi des entreprises missionnaires occidentales en Chine du 17e au 20e siècle. Une quarantaine de conférenciers sont attendus, notamment dâAsie et dâEurope. Parmi eux, cinq professeurs de lâUniversité Laval, soit Denys Delâge, Bernard Saladin dâAnglure, Frédéric Laugrand, Louis-Jacques Dorais et Shenwen Li. Ãgalement deux étudiants: Carl Déry et Frédérick Desbiens. Une exposition sur lâart pictural chinois actuel aura lieu dans la salle dâexposition de la Bibliothèque. à lâouverture du colloque, on fera lâannonce de la création du Centre dâétudes Québec-Chine à la Faculté des lettres.
