Familles et stratégies• Le chômage n'affecte pas que le chômeur mais également sa famille.• Le revenu familial est une affaire de famille.• La perte de revenu est un problème qui doit être résolu.• Les régimes d'indemnisation suivent des règles connues qui permettent de les utiliser stratégiquement.Objectif de l'étude• Comparer l'évolution de la situation des familles canadiennes dans la période qui suit le moment où l'un de leurs membres perd son emploi, selon que cette perte a eu lieu avant ou après la transformation du régime d'assurancechômage en régime d'assurance-emploi. Postulat• Les familles cherchent à retrouver une capacité de consommation au moins égale à celle qu'elles avaient avant qu'un de leurs membres ne perde son emploi.
