Abstract
In 1803-1809, in order to create a national vine repository in Paris (in the Luxembourg tree nursery), préfets were asked to collect information about the cultivated vines of their département and eventually prepare cuttings. The present file deals with the département of Corrèze in the center of France. Cuttings were sent to Paris in 1804 and again in 1807. The recorded evidence lists a total of 136 individual items (cited names) which take place in the project Cepdoc dedicated to the transcription of written sources dealing with vine varieties names. It is part of a current program (CepHistoire) dedicated to the history of vine varieties in use in France. This program is detailed in annexe 2.
