Abstract
The aim of the research: to prepare a project of an urban complex in Klaipda old town, having assessed the current building up, management, usage, engineering infrastructure, values of cultural heritage, visual landscape properties and context environment of the territory. Objectives of the research: to plan the building of a city quarter with regard to local history, to manage environment, to create public spaces, to make landscape of the quarter attractive not only to residents but also to city guests, also to provide conditions for development of commercial, residential and public purposes. The result of the work: a designed multifunctional complex of buildings including a detailed exhibition pavilion and a square. Textual and graphical parts as well as a model of an urban complex have been prepared. Methods of research: a multifunctional complex of buildings in Klaipda old town has been designed on the basis of the task for the Bachelor’s Thesis on design of an urban complex and currently valid normative and methodical materials. Structure of the Thesis: the analysed situation of the territory under planning and its current state, prepared conceptions and a plan of the building up and management of the territory, architectural and constructional solutions for the exhibition pavilion have been prepared.
