Las comunidades de aprendizaje llevan funcionando en nuestro país desde 1978. La comunidad científica internacional apuesta por estos métodos de enseñanza, porque se ha demostrado que aumentan el rendimiento de los alumnos y mejoran la convivencia en los centros. Es un proyecto donde toda la comunidad participa en la tarea de educar y se fundamenta en el aprendizaje dialógico, donde se valora la opinión de todos los participantes, y donde todos aprenden de todos. \nEn este trabajo conoceremos como funcionan las comunidades de aprendizaje, sus antecedentes y fundamentos, y cómo se han extendido por el país con la ayuda de CREA, Centro de investigación en Teorías y prácticas Superadoras de desigualdades. Después averiguaremos cuales son las fases necesarias para que un centro convencional se transforme en comunidad de aprendizaje, y cómo se implican los familiares y voluntarios en las clases de matemáticas. Mediante una encuesta a una muestra de población española, sabremos cuánta gente conoce o ha oído hablar de las comunidades de aprendizaje. Veremos que hay muy pocas comunidades de aprendizaje en toda la geografía española, y sabremos en cuáles de ellas se puede estudiar Secundaria. Después contactaremos con ellas para conocer algunas cuestiones interesantes sobre estos centros. Con todos los datos obtenidos y lo que hemos aprendido, haremos una propuesta práctica de cómo podrían ser las clases de matemáticas de 4º de la ESO para una comunidad de aprendizaje.
