La investigación plantea el reto de comprender la dinámica territorial que nace y llega a Barrancabermeja desde el área urbana de influencia, dimensionar los tipos de relaciones existentes, comprender la intensidad y dirección de las interacciones y establecer las mejores conexiones para recomendar que permitan su fortalecimiento y la posibilidad de pensar en una escala mayor de cohesión y planificación del territorio.
