La investigación se realizó en las instalaciones del Laboratorio de Investigación en Nutrición y Alimentación de Peces y Crustáceos (LINAPC) del departamento académico de Nutrición de la facultad de Zootecnia de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), la elaboración del alimento fue en la Planta de Alimentos Balanceados de la facultad de Zootecnia de la UNALM. El estudio tuvo por objetivo determinar la digestibilidad aparente de la materia seca, proteína bruta, extracto etéreo, extracto libre de nitrógeno y la energía digestible de la torta de soya (Glycine max) para Sábalo cola roja (Brycon erythropterum) mediante la determinación del coeficiente de digestibilidad aparente (CDA) usando el método indirecto. Se utilizaron 24 juveniles de sábalo cola roja, con un peso inicial de 184.08 ± 4.37 gramos y una talla de 17.43 ± 0.16 cm, distribuidos en seis acuarios de digestibilidad tipo Guelph, con cuatro peces cada uno. La duración de la fase experimental fue de 30 días, entre mayo y junio del 2016, durante el cual se realizó colecciones diarias de heces. El coeficiente de digestibilidad aparente obtenido en base seca para la torta de soya en juveniles de Sábalo cola roja (Brycon erythropterum) fue 60.29 ± 2.12 por ciento para materia seca, 82.73 ± 2.72 para proteína, 96.16 ± 0.41 para extracto etéreo, 54.26 ± 4.18 para extracto libre de nitrógeno y 78.17 ± 2.79 por ciento para energía bruta. La energía digestible (ED) de la torta de soya en Sábalo cola roja fue 3.70 Mcal/kg en base seca y 3.32 Mcal/Kg en base fresca (89.60 % de materia seca).
