El aprendizaje de la Lengua Extranjera presenta muchos beneficios siendo esencial en el mundo globalizado en el que vivimos. Sin embargo, en este proceso de aprendizaje intervienen muchos factores como la calidad y la cantidad del input, la personalidad y la actitud. La presente investigación trata de mostrar si la incorporación de los juegos motores pueden ser un método eficaz y significativo para el aprendizaje del español como Lengua Extranjera en un contexto donde el inglés es la lengua principal. Para ello se llevarán a cabo dos proyectos en una escuela bilingüe situada en Red Deer (Alberta, Canadá). Para tal fin se ha creado una una batería de juegos motores centradas en la metodología llamada Learning by doing o Aprender haciendo. Este tipo de metodología es importante y, sobre todo en las primeras edades, ya que el alumnado está más motivado cuando hay movimiento. El proyecto principal será la aplicación de estas actividades que combinan el movimiento y el aprendizaje del español como Lengua Extranjera en la clase de tercero de primaria. El otro proyecto se ha realizado de manera paralela con algunas de las familias de la escuela, las cuales realizarán juegos en familia para mejorar y/o reforzar el español. La recogida de datos del proyecto principal se está llevando a cabo mediante diferentes instrumentos: pre-test (para evaluará los conocimientos previos), entrevistas, cuestionarios, rejillas de observación, diario de los alumnos para expresar su opinión sobre los juegos. Y en el caso del proyecto de las familias los instrumentos utilizados serán: fotografía semanal mostrando que han participado en el reto y un cuestionario semanal sobre el juego realizado en el que incluirán (nivel de dificultad, de diversión y de aprendizaje). Con los datos obtenidos se realizará un análisis mediante el cual se pretende determinar si los juegos motores pueden facilitar la interiorización del español.
