Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar el efecto antibacteriano de la fracción flavonica de Capsella bursa-pastoris. “bolsa de pastor”. La especie en estudio fue procedente del caserío San Isidro Labrador, distrito de Usquil, provincia de Otuzco, región La Libertad, posteriormente un ejemplar de la especie fue llevada, identificada y clasificada en el Herbarium truxillense. La metodología de estudio comprendió; fitoquímica de la especie vegetal y la evaluación antibacteriana de la especie sobre cepas aisladas de Pseudomonas aeruginosa y Staphylococcus aureus proporcionadas por el departamento de Microbiología de la Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. El resultado del estudio de la especie Capsella bursa-pastoris. reportó: una pérdida de peso en agua de 70,8%, humedad residual de 3,06%, cenizas totales de 6,9%, cenizas solubles en agua de 1,7%, cenizas insolubles en acido de 1,4%; sustancias extraíbles de 22,39% en agua, 17,93% en etanol 50% v/v, 19,2% en etanol 70% v/v, 6,88% en etanol 96º GL y la presencia de metabolitos secundarios como: alcaloides, azúcares reductores, compuestos fenólicos, triterpenicos, esteroides, aminoácidos, leucoantocianidinas y flavonoides, siendo estos los más evidentes. Según el análisis de la concentración mínima bactericida (CMB) e índice microcida (IM), el extracto hidroalcohólico al 50% v/v de Capsella. bursa-pastoris se clasificó como extracto bactericida con respecto a Staphylococcus aureus y Pseudomonas. aeruginosa. Asimismo, el extracto hidroalcohólico al 70% v/v de Capsella bursa-pastoris se clasificó como bacteriostático para Pseudomonas aeruginosa y bactericida para Staphylococcus aureus.
