La casuística de la economía griega cobra cierta importancia a partir del estallido de la crisis económica, a raíz de los problemas financieros a los que el país se ha enfrentado durante la era post 2008, y más concretamente a causa de las reformas en materia de política económica que ha tenido que adoptar para beneficiarse de los rescates provenientes de la troika. Con una economía y estructura productiva características de los países del sur europeo, Grecia representa uno de los muchos ejemplos de la existencia de dos bloques económicos en la Unión Europea actual: los países del norte y centro de Europa, y los Estados del sur del continente. Entre ellos existen múltiples divergencias, las cuales se analizan en este trabajo fin de grado desde la perspectiva griega, y que explican en parte la trayectoria macroeconómica que ha seguido cada uno de ellos hasta la actualidad.
