Ce projet de recherche-création permet de questionner la place de l’éclairage dans le processus de création d’un spectacle théâtral postdramatique. À travers ce mémoire, je souhaite partager mes recherches et réflexions sur l’existence d’une dramaturgie lumineuse grâce à une approche de ce médium comme moteur de création d’un spectacle. Cette recherche-création prend sa place dans le mouvement du spectacle-paysage (Lehmann, Stein, Danan). Inspirés du concept de la dramaturgie visuelle, nous convoquerons des réflexions sur l’atmosphère (Bussières, Home-Cook), le tableau vivant et le traitement contemporain du corps scénique (Sermon), mais nous questionnerons également la place et le dialogue des médiums scéniques (Guay, Bouko) afin de nous rapprocher toujours plus d’une compréhension de ce que pourrait être la dramaturgie lumineuse. Afin d’illustrer nos chemins de pensée, nous proposerons en chapitre II l’analyse des spectacles Einstein on the beach de Robert Wilson (1976), Lamelles de Cédric Delorme-Bouchard (2018) et Cocons Somatiques de Manon de Pauw (2017). La création théâtrale proposée, La Nébuleuse de l’Écrevisse, nous a permis de poser les pratiques d’une dramaturgie différente, sans texte, à l’approche scénique chamboulée, transformée, réinventée. Le chapitre III fait état de ce parcours et expose des pistes de définition théorique et artistique de la mise en oeuvre d’une telle méthode.
