"L’eau souterraine représente la principale source d’eau potable en région rurale au Québec (Groupe Agéco, 2019). Elle est également exploitée pour l’industrie et l’agriculture. Afin d’éviter une surexploitation de cette ressource, il est nécessaire de connaître la recharge de l’eau souterraine, qui correspond au taux de renouvellement des nappes, ainsi que les volumes exploités (pompage) sur l’ensemble du territoire. Une surexploitation (plus de prélèvement que de recharge) entraînerait une baisse du niveau des nappes, l’assèchement de certains puits et une réduction des apports d’eau souterraine aux cours d’eau, aux milieux humides et aux lacs. En plus du suivi des volumes exploités, la gestion à long terme de la ressource en eau souterraine nécessite une estimation réaliste de la recharge actuelle et future. Le but de cette étude est de simuler la recharge future en appliquant les conditions possibles de changements climatiques et d’améliorer la compréhension des impacts susceptibles d’affecter la dynamique annuelle et saisonnière de la recharge.
