Abstract
Kaikki ihmiset ovat enemmän tai vähemmän herkkiä, mutta noin 15–20 prosentin arvioidaan olevan erityisherkkiä. Tutkimusten mukaan herkkyyden perusta on hermojärjestelmän herkässä reagoivuudessa ja tämän seurauksena herkkä ihminen tiedostaa ympäristönsä vivahteet ja ärsykkeet herkemmin kuin muut. \n \nTämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuoda kuuluviin erityisherkkien nuorten äänet. Opinnäytetyö on tutkimuksellinen ja se on toteutettu yhteistyössä Suomen erityisherkkien yhdistyksen HSP Suomi ry:n kanssa. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, minkälaisia kokemuksia kohderyhmällä on omasta erityisherkkyydestään sekä minkälaista tietoa ja tukea he kaipaavat. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena, johon aineisto kerättiin kyselylomakkeella. Lomake sisälsi kolme avointa kysymystä ja se julkaistiin Webropol-verkkosivulla kesäkuussa 2022. Kyselyyn vastasi yhteensä 18 henkilöä. Kysely oli avoinna kaikille 16–29-vuotiaille erityisherkille nuorille. Kerätty aineisto analysoitiin laadullisen sisällönanalyysin keinoin. \n \nTutkimustulokset kertoivat, että nuoret kokivat erityisherkkyyden näkyvän heidän elämässään vahvasti kuormittumisena, aistiherkkyytenä ja sitä kautta tunneherkkyytenä. Vastaajat kokivat, että heidän jaksamistaan ja hyvinvointiaan tukevia keinoja ovat lepo, omat harrastukset, omien rajojen asettaminen, oman herkkyyden tunnistaminen ja ulkoinen apu, kuten esimerkiksi terapiassa käynti. Vastaajat toivat ilmi, että he haluaisivat enemmän tietoa erityisherkkyydestä sekä itselleen että muille, kuten terveydenhuoltoon ja työpaikoille. Vastaajat toivat ilmi myös vertaistuen tärkeyden sekä toiveen erilaisista menetelmistä erityisherkkyyden kanssa elämiseen. \n \nTämän tutkimuksen vastaajaryhmä oli pieni, eikä tuloksia voi yleistää koskemaan kaikkia erityisherkkiä. Tarkasteltaessa muita tutkimuksia ja kirjallisuutta, voidaan kuitenkin todeta, että tutkimuksen tulokset ovat samassa linjassa muun tutkitun tiedon kanssa.
