Abstract
A lo largo de los más de 130 años de historia de la Seguridad Social, la sostenibilidad futura del sistema público de pensiones español no se ha puesto en duda, pero, en los últimos años, a raíz de la crisis económica y de los cambios en la estructura demográfica y productiva de España, se ha producido un aumento de los gastos y una reducción de los ingresos de la Seguridad Social, que preocupa cada vez más a los expertos y ciudadanos. Debido a este déficit, desde el año 2012, el gobierno español ha tenido que utilizar el Fondo de Reserva, creado en el año 2000, para garantizar el pago de pensiones y, como consecuencia del uso reiterado de este Fondo, este está casi vacío. Por lo tanto, vamos a analizar, de forma imparcial, la sostenibilidad futura del sistema de pensiones y las posibles alternativas que favorezcan su viabilidad y conviertan el sistema público de pensiones en un sistema globalizado y sostenible
