Abstract

Aquest estudi busca identificar la influència de la cultura visual, i en concret dels estereotips de gènere en l’imaginari infantil. Per això s’analitza qualitativament una mostra de 224 dibuixos realit-zats per 72 participants d’entre 5 i 12 anys en tres centres d’Educació Primària d’Euskadi. Els resultats gràfics mostren uns trets clarament sexistes que no concorden amb el discurs verbal dels seus autors sobre la igualtat entre gèneres. Els estereotips identificats en els dibuixos s’ajusten totalment a les imatges idealitzades dels models d’home i de dona hegemònics en la nostra cultura visual. Per tant, es pot concloure que el dibuix és una eina útil per a detectar els estereotips arrelats en l’imaginari infantil, i que l’escola ha de nodrir l’alumnat de referents visuals que ajudin a ampliar la seva perspectiva respecte models no normatius que afavoreixin la diversitat dins les aules.
