Abstract
Le syndrome de fatigue chronique / encéphalomyélite myalgique ou SFC/EM est classé dans les maladies rares et demeure peu connue en France. L'OMS reconnaît cette maladie depuis 1993. Le diagnostic requiert un certain nombre d'étape et répond à des critères stricts relatifs à la définition du SFC. Il n'existe pas de traitement curatif pour cette pathologie, l'étiologie de celle-ci n'étant pas établie. La recherche s'intéresse trop peu au SFC à l'exception des États-Unis et du Québec où des études sur les causes de ce syndrome et sa prise en charge sont réalisées.
