La pandémie mondiale de COVID-19, avec les confinements, les mesures sanitaires ainsi que l'école virtuelle synchrone et asynchrone, a fait vivre énormément d'anxiété et d'émotions diverses aux enseignants et aux parents. Cette communication permettra de présenter 8 éléments d'une échelle adaptée de Gauthier et Bouchard (1993) permettant de documenter le degré d'anxiété et de « zénitude » des enseignants et des parents. Un questionnaire bilingue intitulé « Regards croisés de parents et d’enseignants par rapport à l’école virtuelle et en présentiel : un portrait pancanadien pendant la pandémie mondiale de COVID-19 » a été rempli par plus de 1 111 participants au Canada entre avril et aout 2021. En tout, 789 parents et 322 enseignants de tout le Canada - sauf deux provinces - y ont participé. Les résultats montrent notamment que les enseignants sont plus « stressés » et plus « débordés » que les parents. De leur côté, les parents semblent plus « bien » que les enseignants, mais ils sont aussi plus « inquiets » de façon générale.
