Abstract
La monografía presente, tiene como fin armonizar las reglas de responsabilidad civil del transportador derivadas del contrato de transporte aéreo, en especial la relativa al transporte internacional de mercaderías. Se estudiará todo lo relativo a dicha responsabilidad, a la luz de los Convenios internacionales de Varsovia (1929) y Montreal (1999); y de la Ley Colombiana bajo el mandato del Código de Comercio sobre aquellos aspectos no regulados por los Acuerdos internacionales. Adicionalmente se entrará a analizar las partes del contrato, la responsabilidad que recae sobre ellas y sobretodo reflexionar si dichas partes del acuerdo pueden llegar a ser consideradas como consumidores, y qué consecuencias puede llevar lo anterior teniendo en cuenta la especial protección que sobre ellos recae tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
