Abstract
La valeur diagnostique et pronostique de l'hémogramme en cancérologie canine est très variable selon le type tumoral envisagé. Lors de lymphome malin, l'atteinte médullo-sanguine ponctuelle est le plus souvent asymptomatique, excepté lors d'infiltration massive et terminale de la moelle osseuse. L'hémogramme peut donc constituer un critère diagnostique, mais le myélogramme représenterait l'outil diagnostique et pronostique le plus utile. Lors de chimiothérapie, la seule modification de l'hémogramme est le nadir neutrophilique qui peut être à l'origine d'une neutropénie septique. Lors de mastocytome, l'hémogramme n'est pas remarquable. L'éosinophilie et la mastocytémie pourraient revêtir une valeur diagnostique mais leur valeur pronostique reste controversée, de même que celle du buffy coat, d'où le recours à de nouveaux outils histologiques de diagnostic et de pronostic. Enfin, lors d'hémangiosarcome, les modifications hématologiques majeures constituent un outil diagnostique puissant, surtout lors de localisation splénique, avec l'association fréquente d'une anémie régénérative normocytaire normochrome, d'une leucocytose neutrophilique, d'une thrombocytopénie sévère et de multiples modifications morphologiques des hématies, l'intensité de ces modifications précisant le pronostic.
