Abstract
Médias et vitalité sociolinguistique en Fransaskoisie se veut une étude qui vise à interpréter la relation qu’entretiennent les Fransaskois avec divers médias francophones et son rapport avec la vitalité sociolinguistique chez cette minorité d’expression française. Elle permet de tracer l’histoire des médias francophones, que ceux-ci soient écrits, audios ou audiovisuels, en Saskatchewan et à découvrir les habitudes de consommation médiatique actuelles des Fransaskois grâce à une enquête de terrain. Cette enquête, constituée d’un sondage en ligne et de cinq entrevues semi-dirigées, met en lumière les perceptions des Fransaskois à l’égard des médias pour identifier les problèmes qui s’articulent autour des enjeux de représentativité, d’accessibilité et de qualité. Enfin, cette étude propose des pistes de solutions à ces enjeux dans la mesure où les médias peuvent être instrumentalisés afin de favoriser la continuité linguistique et la construction identitaire en Fransaskoisie.
