Abstract
Fifteen teams of snow sculptors from 13 states have gathered in Wisconsin for the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Championship. Sculptors who turn snow into works of art are competing this week in the annual National Snow Sculpting Championship.Fifteen teams from 13 states are in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to find out who's the best.The competition began Wednesday with judging set for Saturday morning.The teams start with a cylinder block of snow eight feet in diameter and nine feet high. They can use saws, axes, files, scaffolding, shovels and other homemade tools.They'll be judged on creativity, technique and message.The winner gets a trophy and an invitation to an international snow sculpting competition.
