Murcha-de-Verticillium em Tomateiro.II. Variabilidade Patogenica de Verticillium Dahliae e Comportamento de Variedades.

Abstract
A variabilidade patogenica de 22 isolados de Verticillium dahliae, obtidos de culturas de berinjela, quiabeiro, morangueiro e tomateiro em diversas localidades do Estado de Sao Paulo foi estudada sob condicoes controladas. Os isolados foram inoculados em plantulas das variedades de tomateiro Angela Hiper (suscetivel) e Marmande VR (resistente a raca 1 de V. dahliae) com 13 a 15 dias, atraves de imersao de raizes, por 15 minutos, em suspensoes de inoculo ajustadas a concentracao de 106 conidios/mL. A avaliacao da severidade da doenca foi efetuada 28 dias apos a inoculacao, atraves de observacoes de sintomas de amarelecimento e murcha foliar ou escurecimento vascular para se determinar a altura de colonizacao da haste. Alem de diferencas na agressividade dos isolados, foi observada a ocorrencia de mais de uma raca fisiologica de V. dahliae. Assim, os isolados T-1335, T-1103, T-1098, T-1104-a, T-1289, T-1237 e BE-318 foram classificados como raca 1, por nao afetarem a variedade Marmande VR, e os isolados BE-1430, T-1378, M-38, Q-322-a, T-1439, BE-1431, T-1481, Q-320-a, T-1089, M-1099, T-1480, BE-1043 e T-1386 como raca 2, para os quais «Marmande VR» e «Angela Hiper» foram suscetiveis. As variedades de tomate para mesa, Santa Adelia, Principe Gigante, Santo Antonio, Sao Francisco e Santa Clara, e para industria, Agrocica 4, 8, 16, 33 e 72, Ontario 7710 e Rio Grande, foram resistentes ao isolado da raca 1 (T-1335); as mesmas variedades foram suscetiveis ao isolado da raca 2 (T-1386). A linhagem melhorada Ohio 12 e a variedade de tomateiro Petomech VF1+2 apresentaram os mais baixos indices de doenca quando inoculadas com o isolado da raca 2.
