Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo refletir sobre o programa de rádio Voz do Brasil, difundido pela CISM 89,3 fm, bem como seus imaginários e mecanismos de difusão e recepção. O programa, tal como sugere o nome, veiculou a música brasileira em Montreal, entre fevereiro de 2019 e setembro de 2021. No local, a música brasileira é classificada como musiques du monde, e esta é uma das questões centrais desta pesquisa. A metodologia adotada, de cunho etnográfico, possui suas bases na pesquisa qualitativa, e utilizou variadas formas de pesquisa, como entrevistas em profundidade e observações participantes. O principal motivo para a realização desta pesquisa foi justamente entender de que forma a música brasileira é vista no local. Os resultados obtidos podem ajudar novos pesquisadores no assunto.
