Abstract
This series of eye-catching art (barn) quilt boards (mostly 60 cm square), display ed outside the Red Barn Arts Centre in Sicamous, British Columbia , Canada, is an arts community collaboration by the Eagle Valley Community Association ( https://www.eaglevalleyartscouncil.com ). With supplies provided by the Arts Centre and using designs originating with either the individual artist or the Centre, the colourfully painted boards are then displayed on the Red Barn’s walls, surrounding fencing , and throughout the Sicamous community . Built in 1926 as the community h all, the Red Barn later housed the local Royal Canadian Legion branch (British Columbia / Yukon Command, Sicamous #99) before its 1978 purchase by the Eagle Valley Arts Council.
