Abstract
Gaston Miron dit dans l’un de ses beaux vers: «Je n’ai jamais voyagé vers un autre pays que toi, mon pays». En un sens, c’est vrai et très peu narcissique malgré ce que l’on pourrait en penser. Une collègue du Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles m’a fait découvrir un aspect de la modernité de Nelligan chez qui elle ne voyait pourtant au départ qu’un simple calque de Rimbaud ou Baudelaire. Dans la même ville et capitale, alors que je donnais quelques conférences à l'Université libre, un autre collègue me laissait à entendre que la représentation de l’espace dans nos Imaginaires respectifs devaient peu se ressembler, la Belgique étant un petit pays et le Canada, un territoire d’espaces fous.
