La présente étude a pour objectif de mettre en évidence les multiples perspectives que la littérature contemporaine québécoise offre sur la nature et les problématiques environnementales. Si le Québec fait figure de proue de la recherche scientifique en écologie, notamment à travers les travaux de Pierre Dansereau dès les années 1930, force est de constater que les discours dominants sur l’avenir incertain de notre environnement n’arrivent plus à interpeller, au Québec comme ailleurs. Plusieurs vecteurs alternatifs semblent pourtant prendre le relai, notamment certaines œuvres littéraires québécoises qui prennent en charge ce discours par le biais de l’imaginaire et confèrent un souffle nouveau à cette inquiétude à la fois personnelle et universelle. Basée sur les théories émergentes en écopoétique, cette thèse analyse les mécanismes de mise en récit de la nature et des problématiques environnementales qui semblent poindre dans un faisceau d’œuvres littéraires québécoises contemporaines.
