Le territoire du Centre local d’emploi (CLE) de Saint-Michel
\nse juxtapose au territoire de l’arrondissement Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension de la ville de Montréal. Avec 142 825 personnes (données intégrales, voir la note ci-dessus) en 2006, soit 7,7% de la population de l’île de Montréal, le territoire du CLE de Saint-Michel est le 5e plus populeux des 14 territoires de CLE de l’île. Sa population était de 145 485 en 2001; elle a donc diminué de 1,8% entre 2001 et 2006 (contre une hausse de 2,2%
\npour l’île). C’est le seul territoire de CLE de l’île de Montréal, avec le territoire Plateau-Mont-Royal, à avoir connu une baisse de population depuis 2001...
