Abstract
El presente estudio de tipo instrumental tuvo como objetivo determinar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Alexitimia de Toronto en estudiantes universitarios de Trujillo metropolitano, la muestra de 380 estudiantes, fue seleccionado por medio de un muestreo probabilista estratificado. Para determinar las evidencias de validez; se procedió a realizar el análisis factorial exploratorio basado en un modelo de tres factores donde los resultados mostraron un índice de valoración en el test de Esferilidad de Martlett siendo el Ji cuadrado 1796.991, un grado de libertad de 190 y una significancia de .000***; en el índice de adecuación muestral (kmo) .841, y mediante el análisis factorial confirmatorio alcanza un índice de bondad de ajuste GFI de .959, evidenciando que el modelo teórico se ajusta al modelo estimado. La confiabilidad se determinó por medio de análisis de Alfha de Cronbach, alcanzando un nivel de confiabilidad elevada con una Alfha=0.9
