Abstract
Groupe Seb Andean S.A. se dedica a la fabricación de productos de cocina y pequeños electrodomésticos; en Colombia opera con la marca Imusa y Samurai. La compañía tiene como visión desarrollar nuevos negocios en el exterior. Las empresas que realizan actividades en el contexto internacional están expuestas a múltiples riesgos, entre estos, se encuentra el riesgo cambiario, el cual será el objeto de estudio en la presente tesina. El objetivo es proyectar la Tasa de Cambio Representativa del Mercado, por medio de un modelo de simulación estocástica sensibilizada con el método Bootstrap, con el fin de desarrollar informes diarios y mensuales que brinden a la gerencia financiera y comercial conocimientos sobre la tendencia de la moneda y su incidencia en el plano financiero de la empresa, además de analizar los riesgos asociados a la volatilidad cambiaria. Por medio de los métodos mencionados, se desarrolló una herramienta de gestión y toma de decisiones de corto y mediano plazo, que permite a la entidad tomar de forma más acertada sus decisiones.
