Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Opening part of this article presents the transformation and character of religious
\nmilieu in Central and Western Europe in 19th and at the beginning of 20th century (especially
\nthe processes of de-ethatization of religion, secularization and de-christianization,
\nrespectively the so-called second confesionalization). With regard to the focus of this work,
\nthe main attention is paid to the processes running inside the Catholic Church. It deals more
\nprecisely also with the similar development in the western part of the Austro-Hungarian
\nmonarchy. It views complex situation in Czech lands in a wider context of transformations
\nand creation of the modern European industrial society in the second half of the 19th
\ncentury, which also strongly mirrored in the activity of individual Churches and led, among
\nothers, to the “religious renaissance” and to the search for new or renewed forms of religious
\nactivities, as well as spiritual life and also to the formation of new regular communities
\n(men and especially women congregations) together with lay confraternities (Marian
\ncommunities, in the first place). Second part of the work demonstrates the processes on the
\nmodel example of the mostly agrarian and traditionally conservative South Bohemia.
\nBeginning of the new times is in the Budweiser diocese, the traditional catholic bulwark in
\nBohemia, connected first of all with the episcopacy of Jan Valerian Jirsik. It is also thanks
\nto his commitment and work that the status of Catholicism in the whole region significantly
\nimproved and that in the second half of the 19th and first half of 20th century, the South
\nBohemian diocese became the place of foundation or activity of quite a number of regular
\nand lay religious communities.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
